MSc Industrial Digitalisation has been a motivating and challenging experience that has pushed me far outside my previous sphere of practice while learning alongside people with diverse specialisms. It really encouraged me to step into a wider realm of creative engineering and explore its potential for disrupting current industry standards. Having regular interaction with industry professionals also helped encourage engagement with a large and collaborative creative community.

As my background is primarily 3D modelling and animation, I was eager to expand my knowledge into Computer Aided Design (CAD) modelling for functional 3D printed technologies and explore its potential uses within animation production. For my major project, I researched methods, technologies and materials best suited for creating experimental printed joints for stop-motion armatures.

Being granted Autodesk’s Women in Leadership Scholarship gave me greater incentive to immerse myself into creative and ambitious plans for the future. Having expanded my experience and understanding of Industry 4.0, I felt better equipped to enter diverse working environments and have something new to offer.
