PrintCity Invests in New SLA Technology

3D printing technology is changing on a weekly basis, with new processes and materials released regularly, it can be difficult to keep up.  At PrintCity, we ensure that we’re up to date with the latest technologies available on the market.  Resulting in the investment of upgrading current our current 3D printers.

Introducing the Form 3

In addition to the current five Form 2 SLA printers, PrintCity recently acquired four new Form 3 printers, one of the first facilities in UK to gain access to these machines.  These new printers will enable the service to increase the capacity of SLA parts.  Providing small high-resolution parts with a smooth surface finish.  Typically, these machines are used within Dental and Engineering sectors, however at PrintCity we’re happy to experiment across any sector.

What’s new?

The main difference between the Form 2 and 3 is the newly developed Low Force Stereolithography, made possible through the addition of a flexible resin tank and linear illumination.  This technology provides increased accuracy and light-touch support structures to reduce post processing time.
