Alongside a focus on 3D printing, units will develop skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), digital manufacturing, industrial sustainability, project management, 3D scanning, and even augmented reality.

State-of-the-art learning environment

Carry out your studies and create your work in the PrintCity facility, which is equipped with the very latest 3D printers from Formlabs, Ultimaker, Markforged, Airwolf and more.

You will also create metal castings from 3D printed plastic patterns and post-process these using dedicated techniques, such as laser-welding and bead-blasting.

We have a strong working relationship with creative software provider Autodesk UK and the programme provides a route for students to become an Autodesk Certified User. This is a recognised qualification in addition to the programme award which demonstrates proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and is sought after by employers.

The programme structure and student lifecycle are designed to build a variety of skills and a portfolio of work that will help to launch our graduates into exciting, industry 4.0-related positions in design and manufacturing.
