Professor Keith Brown - Digital Sculptor

We catch up with Manchester Metropolitan University’s very own Professor Keith Brown (Research Professor, Director of Art and Digital Technologies).

Keith is an internationally recognised pioneer of digital sculptures who uses 3D Studio software and 3D printing to produce sculptures that cannot be produced using traditional techniques.

Every single 3D printed sculpture is derived from the software’s ‘torus knot’ function and Keith even bumped into the person from Autodesk who coded it when, many years back, he was on a coach trip to the Hoover Dam. Now in his 70s, Keith shows no signs of slowing down and his manufacturing interests are wide and varied.
