Prof. Craig Banks

Academic Lead

Craig Banks is the academic lead at PrintCity and is Head of Research and Knowledge Exchange within the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Manchester Metropolitan University.

He has more than 400 scientific papers to his name, 20 patents and four books. Craig is ranked in the top 1% of highly cited researchers worldwide – a list that contains no less than 17 Nobel Laureates.

Specialising in multidisciplinary research, with a specific focus on 3D and 4D printing, Craig is responsible for enterprise and commercial engagement of Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
