Submit a 3D print
So that PrintCity can provide you with the best service, please read the following advice …
Phasio – Our managed print service
If you are a current MMU student and you wish to have a technician complete a 3D print for you, you must submit your 3D files to us via Phasio, our digital storefront, using the link shown below. In this Phasio app, you can browse available materials and colours, and specify how detailed or strong you need your 3D printed part to be.
Once submitted via Phasio, you can track your 3D prints.
Uploaded files are encrypted, secure and configurable for different 3D printing technologies and choice of materials available for them.
You must have a valid Manchester Met email account using the format (12345678@stu.mmu.ac.uk [Student], or 12345678@mmu.ac.uk [Staff]).
Print yourself
If you interested in coming to PrintCity to 3D print a part yourself on our Ultimaker 3D printers, you can complete this RISE course: Rise X Future Me at Manchester Met. At the end of this RISE course, you will be prompted to book into one of our Wednesday morning inductions from a list of available dates. This takes just one hour, after which you will be able to load and remove your own 3D prints from our printers, subject to a quick part check by PrintCity staff. You only need to do the RISE course once.
3D Print Enquiries
If you have a general inquiry about something 3D print / PrintCity related, you can email: printcitystudentjobs@mmu.ac.uk. This is a constantly monitored email and we aim to reply within one working day. Please don’t submit any files for printing using this email address; you must use the Phasio service for this. See above.
