Made Smarter Graduate Programme

Innovation and collaboration are two words which have significance to me. Market needs and requirements are completely changing due to the new digital trends and are forcing organisations to rethink and restructure their traditional approaches. Innovation plats a key role within the success of a modern business and collaboration allows for processes to be sped up and as a result, accelerates the perceived value of an organisation. It is currently more evident than ever…Industries must evolve or be extinct!

My background is in the field of design engineering, which involves the researching and development of ideas for new products and their methods of manufacture. It also involves modifying existing products and processes to improve their efficiency and performance, using Computer Aided Design (CAD) to create digital prototypes. I am constantly solving problems and questioning everything; if I do not understand how something works, I will go above and beyond to find out.

The current trends of automation and data exchange within production and management are completely changing the landscape of industrial manufacture. The fourth industrial revolution and its accompanying technologies are disrupting almost every industry in every country. Widespread digitalisation is an inevitable outcome of Industry 4.0 and it is an exciting time to be involved in the field of emerging technology. I aspire to positively impact an industry by providing value through my acquired knowledge and skillset.

Industries that interest me are automotive, aerospace and medical. Clear advances are being made in each field with benefits such as increased innovation, lower costs, improved quality and increased availability. The medical industry particularly stands out to me because the benefits are not just corporate, but are physically helping people and improving their quality of life.

Innovation and collaboration are two words that have significance to me. Market needs and requirements are completely changing due to the new digital trends and are forcing organisations to rethink and restructure their traditional approaches. Innovation plays a key role within the success of a modern business and collaboration allows for processes to be sped up and as a result, accelerates the perceived value of an organisation. It is currently more evident than ever that industries must evolve or be extinct!
