Centre for Digital Innovation
Manchester Metropolitan University is the consortium lead for the Centre for Digital Innovation (CDI), a programme funded through the nationwide £100m Government Innovation Accelerator.
The consortium will deliver initiatives for the North West region’s small to medium-sized (SMEs) enterprises who will be able to access expert knowledge, research and facilities to develop new products and technologies, create new supply chains, build collaborations and to train their staff.
Centre for Digital Innovation (CDI) will create a supercluster of digital innovation, expertise and skills development for the region to become a beacon in the UK for digital innovation.
CDI WILL BE ACROSS FOUR TECHNOLOGY STRANDS:
- Artificial intelligence;
- Cyber security;
- Industrial digitalisation; and
- Immersive technology
CDI PARTNERS INCLUDE:
- Manchester Metropolitan University
- Lancaster University
- University of Manchester
- University of Salford
- along with the Greater Manchester Colleges Group and private sector partners (Additive X, Laser Lines, Matsuura, Create Education)
