Nathan Woodward

My interest in design and engineering started in my childhood, where I spent my days playing with Lego. This has led me down the path to where I am today. I am a recent graduate, having studied BSc Design Engineering finishing with a first-class honour’s degree. This course is the continuation of my journey, equipping me with the skills, knowledge and contacts needed for the modern industrial environment.

Having grown up in the Lake District, the natural world is very close to my heart and is part of why I feel strongly about sustainable design. I hope that through my work I can do my part to reduce our impact on the environment. I am particularly interested in Biophilic design, bringing the natural world back into our increasingly urbanised environments. Taking advantage of the innate psychological benefits that come from this methodology of design.
