Stanley Waters

In 2019, I graduated Manchester School of Art with a first-class BA (Hons) in Fine Art, producing sound and video instillation work focused on themes of techno utopianism and its inevitable partner dystopia. At present I am enrolled on MSc Industrial Digitalisation.

Through my work I have often heavily incorporated aspects of CAD design, particularly Maya and 3DS Max. To create virtual worlds and animations for narratives and research to inhabit. I have found incorporating these digital technologies liberating to my creative process, with them pushing me in the direction of this course and flourishing industry. My wish is to full realise the possibilities these programmes represent, whilst at the same time exploring the world of 3D printing and virtual reality that Print City provide.

Coming from fine art this course has defiantly been a culture shock for me, but one I am highly excited by. The possibilities it represents beyond this course are ever expanding and I cannot wait to fully explore and immerse myself within the creative, digital sphere Industry 4.0 represent.
