Cement
In conjunction with a recent research project Cirmap, which worked to provide a Mixture Proportioning Method (MPM) designed for 3D printing mortars made with Recycled Fine Aggregates (RFA), we now house two machines capable of 3D printing cement.
PrintCity has a Potterbot Scara V4 with an extruder system capable of handling ceramic and other pastes materials. The 4000ml Linear Actuator Ram is the largest volume extruder available from 3D Potter and gives us the ability to print larger objects than their other machines.
Additionally, PrintCity has an industrial robot which can pump a cement mixture which it deposits through a nozzle. The ABB IRB 1600 is great for small scale testing such as structural test models or material testing.
