Hamzah Ali-Baig
I’m Hamzah Ali Baig, and I am currently studying for an MSc in Digital Design and Manufacturing at Manchester Metropolitan University, where I also completed my BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering. My academic journey has been driven by a deep passion for engineering and a commitment to mastering both mechanical and digital design. This dedication recently led to a major highlight in my career so far: receiving the prestigious Formula One Scholarship, awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional potential and commitment in engineering.
During my undergraduate years, I took on a leadership role in MMU’s Formula Student team, where I had the opportunity to lead the design and manufacture of a carbon fibre aero body. This experience allowed me to apply my knowledge of aerodynamics and materials science and brought our team to new heights in performance.
In addition to my academic work, I gained hands-on experience during an internship with Aston Martin Formula One. There, I optimized key systems and developed my skills in data analysis using ATLAS software, immersing myself in the fast-paced world of Formula One engineering. This journey has shaped me both technically and personally, and I’m excited to continue exploring and advancing within the field.
